    New brand identities for APLF fairs in Hong Kong

    The organisers of APLF fairs announced that in 2020, there will be a change of the layout of the four APLF fairs in Hong Kong. The leather fair will be relocated on to Level 3 and the three fairs now taking place on that Level 3 will move to Level 1.

    Encouraging Economic Backdrop for 34th Edition of APLF

    Widely recognised as the Annual Meeting Place for the Global Leather Industry, the 34th edition of APLF takes place from 14 – 16 March at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

    The earlier dates will allow professional buyers to locate the materials they need in good time to manufacture collections for Fall/Winter 2018 – 2019 and in future years avoid a clash between the former late March dates of APLF and Easter Week.

    Fashion Access 2017: catering for all, from Millennials to Silvers

    Located on the third floor of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Fashion Access, the concomitant fair of APLF attracted almost 20 per cent more visitors this year compared with 2016. Close to 10,000 visitors attended the three day event (from 29 to 31 March, 2017) to the great satisfaction of the more than 262 exhibitors, including 87 first time ones.

    APLF evolves in line with Trends and Fashion as Materials and Leather Face Challenges in Changing Times

    The 33rd edition of APLF starts today, 29 March 2017 and its focus has been modified to meet the changing needs of the fashion industry. The fair is now officially called APLF Leather & Materials+.

    Since its inception in 1984 APLF’s vision and philosophy has been to move with the times. The Organisers were aware that the main driving trend for footwear and garments worldwide was now sports casual or athleisure, and so the decision was taken after last year’s fair to revamp its traditional components sector to cater to this trend by renaming it Materials+. The Materials+ hall is located on Level 3, Halls 3FG of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, opposite Fashion Access, leaving APLF Leather in Halls 1A - 1E as per previous years.

    APLF announces new fair dates for 2018 and 2019

    In line with its policy of serving the global leather and fashion industries APLF is pleased to announce an adjustment to its traditional event dates for its Hong Kong fairs from 2018 onwards.

    APLF has been held at the end of March for three decades but due to the proximity of the Easter vacation from 2018 onwards a decision has been taken to move the dates forward by approximately two weeks to mid - March.
