A mini-exhibition sponsored by Leather Naturally
For the first time, APLF teams up with the Hong Kong Design Institute Fashion Archive to curate a mini-exhibition on Hall 3E South Concourse.
The Fashion Archive has chosen 5 leather jackets of Alexander Wang, Jil Sander, Hugo Boss, Gareth Pugh and Rick Owens to showcase distinguished designers’ creations in leather, each with their expression and particular way of handling the material.
The Hong Kong Design Institute Fashion Archive is a unique fashion resource centre based in the Department of Fashion and Image Design. The growing collection of over 1,500 items has been collected over the years, ranging from contemporary designer brands clothing and accessories, to historical, ethnic and performance costumes. Users are provided with immersive experiences in aesthetic and analytical appreciation, linear historic evidence, and understanding of garment forms and constructions.
