Over 350 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions have chosen Fashion Access as the platform to showcase their products for Spring-summer 2010.
As Asia’s most international exhibition for distinctive fashion products, including bags, footwear, leather goods, travelware and lifestyle accessories, the fair has attracted 60 fist-time exhibitors – which means plenty new partners to meet and fresh products to see.
In the spirit of its new motto, “Fashion Up!”, Fashion Access is keeping buyers on top of the trends while offering the convenience of sourcing a complete fashion accessories range under one roof.
Bag manufacturers still top the list of exhibitors, although the footwear section has expanded to meet rising demand. There are nine Group Pavilions with China having three, Brazil, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, The Philippines and Taiwan (see fact sheet).
Brazil’s footwear and leather goods offer is expected to attract global buyers as it has in previous years, with 10 major brands of footwear and one high-end bags company. Fashion Access also welcomes a new Korean Pavilion. Korean manufacturers are presenting a range of good quality yet affordable trendy fashion accessories with the aim to expand internationally and into the ever-important Chinese market.
Meeting the needs of the industry, Fashion Access unveils Sustainable World, an area dedicated to fashion products born from socially and environmentally-sustainable endeavours. Please visit Sustainable World at Convention Hall Mezzanine and read more about this initiative in the Fashion Access Guide.
Alongside Sustainable World, the fair is also debuting Sustainable Fashion Forum, a half-day event whereby high-level executives from fashion companies and organizations, including Li & Fung and Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), will address concerns and present pragmatic ideas and solutions to sustainable fashion from the buyer and consumer perspectives.
"Sustainable Fashion Forum is about Fashion with a conscience,” says Perrine Ardouin, senior event manager of the APLF Ltd. “Sustainability is already a critical concern to end- consumers and as trade fair organisers it is our business to serve the demands of the industry.”
